Rachel & Stephen: I am so sorry that your dear Mom has passed. I have no doubt that her Dad and your Dad were there to greet her after she was embraced by God. I truly believe God needs good people to help watch over the ones that need extra help on earth. He indeed took a great woman who always has a smile on her face. Mother of Mine A day has now come that I always knew would, A day of deep sorrow, never quite understood, For all has stood still in this moment of time, As a women dear to me, this Mother of Mine, Has taken Departure from this world we know, And has journeyed oft' to where no man can go. Though memories still linger as though she is near, Knowing she's gone but still wanting her near, A deep-hearted sadness abounds in my soul, As I ask my Maker, "Will I ever be whole?" A still quiet voice is then heard from within, It brings comfort and peace like a calm violin, "The scriptures I've written for these troubled times," and words from the pages now enter my mind. "I'm here with you child, forsaken you're not, My Son bears witness to questions you've sought. Your hope comes from knowing that death ends not life, For salvation received renounces all strife." Yes, hope of eternity with no end in time, Helps me let go of this Mother of Mine. The Breath of Life in me now declares, My Journey's unfinished . . . Let grief not despair! I'll rise up as His child and share this great hope, And spread this great news so that they too, can cope, With all that robs us of peace, joy, and love, None which is sent from our God above. Yes, I'll let go of this dear one to me, Knowing that upon entering eternity, After embracing the Master Divine . . . Reunited I'll be with this Mother of Mine. by L. P.
