Obituary for Olive Jean Neal (Lobdill)

Olive Jean  Neal (Lobdill)
Olive Jean Neal, of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in a local hospital. She was a retired school teacher with a master’s degree in education for the Van Buren Public School Systems. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren, Chapter P.E.O Sisterhood, a member of Van Buren Garden Gate Club, Kappa Kappa Ioata Sorority and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband Grey Andrew (Andy) Neal, two brothers Robert C. (Buddy) and Harold (Red) Lobdill; and two sisters Pauline Brown and Lorene Lobdill.

She is survived by one daughter Andra Jean Bercher and her husband Kim of Fort Smith; one son Andy Neal, Jr. and his wife Joann of Van Buren; three grandchildren Lauren Appleby and her husband Matt of Dallas, Heath Bercher of Bentonville, Jennifer Brammer and her husband Michael of Van Buren; five great-grandchildren Christian and Sterling Appleby, Breck, Brush and Olive Brinn Brammer; six nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with Reverend Bryan Bond officiating with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Family will visit with friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brammer, Jerry Jones, Matt Appleby, Heath Bercher, Dr. Phillip Morton and Barry Morton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Van Buren First Presbyterian Church 108 South 10th Street Van Buren, 72956 or Sebastian County Humane Society 3800 Kelley Hwy Fort Smith, 72904.
