Obituary for Betty L Horton (Blasingame)
Betty L. Horton, 76 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in a local nursing home. She was retired from Whirlpool Manufacturer in Fort Smith. She enjoyed working in her yard and visiting Cross Point Church. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, where she enjoyed showering her family and friends with gifts. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bonnie (Swoford) Blasingame; three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Hight Cemetery in Pleasant View, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
She is survived by husband, Johnny Horton of Van Buren; two daughters, Scharlet Griffin and husband, Tom of Alma, Tammy Jester and husband, Tony of Van Buren; one son, Quincey Horton and wife, Phennapat of Van Buren; one brother, Jimmy Blasingame of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Kim, Tommy, Skylar, Jessie and Zackary; five great grandchildren, Katie, Kenzie, Garrett, Kilian and Arwen.
Pallbearers are Tommy Griffin, Skyler Horton, Jesse Jester, Tony Jester, Tom Griffin and Garrett Standridge.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Rowler, Mark Horton and Carl Horton.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
