Maedale Patterson Bates, 82, of Greenwood Arkansas went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2018 in a Poteau Nursing Home. She was born on July 29, 1936 in Jones, LA to Jeff and Agnes (Robinett) Wooden. She was a retired employee of 31 years from Riverside Furniture, after retirement she went to work for Walmart as a greeter. She was of the Christian Faith. Maedale was preceded in death by her two husbands, Maurice Patterson and Thomas Bates, one daughter, Jackie Ballard, a brother, Earl Wooden and a sister Daisy Wooden.
Funeral services are 1:00PM, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the U.S. National Cemetery.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glenda (Bill) McCellan of Fort Smith, AR and Donna (Gene) Johnson of Poteau, OK; three sons, Michael (Sandy)Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Allen Patterson of Van Buren, AR and Steve Patterson and companion Cathy Jeffcoat of Greenwood, AR; five brothers, Jeff Wooden of Fayetteville, AR, Myral Wooden of Muldrow, OK, Billy Wooden of Greenwood AR; Quitman Wooden of Van Buren, AR and Johnny Wooden of Fort Smith, AR; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving staff of The Oaks Health Center and to Dr. Dennis Carter for his care.
