Obituary for Harold Wayne Beeman

Harold Beeman, 93 of Van Buren was born April 26, 1925 to James and Lucille Beeman. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 24, 2018 in a local hospital. He was a World War II veteran who served in Patton’s Army; he was awarded four Bronze Stars. He helped oversee the removal of landmines and the rebuilding of bridges. He was also part of the group present at the liberation of Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
Later he moved to Fort Smith in 1962. He was in management at Marshall Supply; he was known throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma as a wonderful machine tool salesman, craftsman’s and candy maker. He taught each of us by example, it’s better to give than to receive. He was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Smith for over 50 years; he was in many Christmas productions at Fort Smith Baptist Church. He was also a member of New Vision Church in Van Buren. Harold also enjoyed dancing at the Eagles and Elks Club for many years.

Arrangements and cremation under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren no service will be held at this time.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lenzini and husband, Mike of Van Buren; one son, Michael Beeman of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Chance Beeman, Brandon Lenzini and wife Christy, Lauren Vella and husband, John Paul and Channing Garcia and husband, Alex; eight loving great grandchildren.
