Bobby Rankin, Sr., 79 of Nixa, Missouri passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri. He was a retired colonel for the United States Air Force and was a member of Hopedale Baptist Church. He was decorated with the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal w/four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and National Defense Service Medal and various other metals.

Funeral services will 12:00 Noon, Friday June 15, 2018 graveside at Fort Smith National Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Linda of the home; one daughter Deborah Rankin of Hollywood, California; one son Bobby Rankin, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister Linda Kimbley of Fort Smith; two grandchildren Riley and Ryan; several nieces and nephews.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
