George Thomas Porter, 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 18, 1939. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired engineer from S.W. Bell. He was a member of River Valley Community Church.
Funeral services are 10:00AM, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas with burial with honors to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Linda Porter of the home, one son, Forest Porter of Bossier City, LA; one daughter, Marica Porter of Arcata, CA and two granddaughters. .
The family will visit with friends from 2-4PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
