Buffy Joan Burkholder, 48 of Alma passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 in a local hospital. She was the manager at Alma Short Stop Convenience Store. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Rudy Schroeder; one brother, Donald Ray Schroeder and two daughters, Sara and Danielle Nichols.

Arrangement and cremation under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren no formal service.

She is survived by her husband, Elwood Burkholder of the home; one daughter, Rachelle Barnes and husband, Ethan of Hartville, Mo; one son, Joe Hyde of Springfield, Missouri; her mother, Cleo Kelley of Hutchinson, Kansas; three sisters, Reneta Moore of Durby, Kansas, Shannon Workman and husband, Scott of Columbia, Missouri, Michelle Neace and husband, Kyle of Marshfield, Missouri; three brothers, James Schroeder of Northview, Missouri, Eddie Schroeder and Rudy Schroder and wife, Jennifer all of Marshfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Keagan Nichols, Hunter and Lucas Barnes and Lilly Burkholder; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
