Obituary for Sharon Sue Latta (Patton)

Sharon Sue  Latta (Patton)
Sharon Sue Patton Latta, 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 in a local hospital. She was born on October 30, 1939 in Garfield, Arkansas to Carl and Elritha Maurie (Marler) Patton. Sharon was a retired executive director of the Noark Girl Scout Council, now called the Girl Scout Diamonds of Arkansas. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, a former teacher of the Preschool Mother’s Day Out program and the Preschool Sunday School for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Lea Latta.
Funeral services will be 9:30AM Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Eastside Baptist Church Chapel with a private family burial to follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Buford of the home; three daughters, Val Davis of Taos, NM, Tamara Latta of Fort Smith, AR and Sharon Kelly Latta of Atlanta, GA; one son, Brent Boyd Latta of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, Carl Hampton Patton, Jr. of Houston, TX, Jimmy Patton of Lowell, AR and David Patton of Birmingham, AL and two grandsons, Chase Pulis of Christmas Valley, OR and Clint Pulis of Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers are Brent Latta, David and Rick Patton, Clint and Chase Pulis, Forrest and Parker Hutchens. Honorary Pallbearers are C.H. Patton, Jim Patton and the Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Monday, August 28th at the funeral home.
