Mary E.  Kelley (Moore)
Mary Elizabeth Kelley, 91, passed away Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at the Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mary was born January 5th, 1926 in Arcadia, Indiana to Henry and Laura (Hershman) Moore. She was the youngest daughter in her family and was doted upon by her older siblings as she was a late-in-life baby. She was raised on her family farm in Arcadia and had a love-filled childhood. When Mary was 18 she married George Mills of Indiana and they had one son. She later married Leon Kelley of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Mary and Leon raised their three daughters in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and later worked at Gerber Foods and Moll Tool in Fort Smith. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jodi Kelley of Fort Smith, her granddaughter, Julia Harris of Greenwood, her grandson Rob Mills of Indiana, and her husband, Leon Kelley. She is remembered for her love of her family, fishing, crossword puzzles, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Mary was a fun and loving mother, and grandmother who was full of moxie, mirth and vim. She was lively, friendly, laughed often, and loved her many cats, dogs and especially birds.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Monday, July 24th, 2017 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. Private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by two daughters, Leah Stephens of Fort Smith, AR and Leslie Wolfe of Greenwood, AR: a son, Bob Mills of New Castle, IN; 8 grandchildren, Ron Mills and Rick Mills of Pendleton, IN, Melissa Peggs of Knightstown, IN, Kristin Collins and Joe Stephens, both of Fort Smith, AR, Ivy Howard of Bella Vista, AR, Story Rush of Greenwood, AR and Lacy Tubby of Howe, OK: 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ron and Rick Mills, Joseph Stephens, Bill Tubby, Brian Rush and Chris Howard.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
