Jose Alejandro Gomez, 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on July 1, 2017 in his home. He was born in El Salvador on July 9, 1934. He was a retired security officer for a construction company. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Funeral services are 10:00AM, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at First Hispanic Baptist Church with burial to follow in Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Concepion Canenguez Gomez of the home; five daughters, Ana Gomez of San Jose, CA, Marlene Figueroa and her husband Juan, Flor Martinez and her husband Douglas and Maria C. Zepeda and her husband Juan all of Fort Smith, AR and Reyna Gomez of Palmdale, CA; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are grandsons.

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 4-11PM at First Hispanic Baptist Church at 3215 N. 23rd St in Fort Smith, AR
