Doug Martin, 46 of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 in his home. He was a teacher at Pocola Middle School and the pastor of Lee Creek Assembly of God Church. He was the high school sweetheart and devoted husband to Karla for 28 years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and daughters. Spending hours traveling to ballgames, quiz bowl, color guard and whatever else they found to participate in. He coached not only their soccer teams but many extra teams to allow every child in the community the opportunity to play. His son-in-law, Cody, finally gave him a out to do a little fishing. He adored his granddaughter, KaLiah, who added an extra glimmer to an always smiling face. He preached his first message when he was seventeen. He was youth pastor at Crossroads Assembly of God for 1 1/2 years and spent the last twenty years as pastor of Lee Creek Assembly of God. His faith in God showed in everything he did and said. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Melvina (Willis) Martin; his mother-in-law, Jerlean Armer.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Liberty Assembly of God Church in Roland with burial at Seabolt Cemetery in Belfonte, Oklahoma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Karla (Armer) Martin of the home; two daughters, Tanya Douglas and husband, Cody, and Amber Martin all of Muldrow; one granddaughter, KaLiah Douglas of Muldrow: one sister, Doris Foster of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Doyle Martin and wife, Gayla of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, Darrell Martin and wife, Denna of Uniontown; his father-in-law, Harold Armer of Muldrow.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Douglas, Stephen Martin, Nathan Foster, Steven Wilson, Caleb Ruckman and Spencer Dewitt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Maxwell, Zach Strong, Aaron Ruckman, Jeremy Ruckman, Ray Jones, Justin Torrey and Ben Ex
