Ben William Jackson, Sr. of Van Buren passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in a local nursing home. He retired from Harding Glass Company in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Dora Assembly of God Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife’s, Veda (Ford) Jackson and Dessie (Fields) Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Darlene Harris of Van Buren, Rhonda English of Dora; two sons, Rev. Ben Jackson, Jr. of Hackett, Ronald Eugene Jackson of Van Buren; three sisters, Margie Keeton of Lebanon, Ohio, Edna English of Roland, Thelma Gaylord of Lebanon, Ohio; two brothers, Danny Jackson of Cedarville, Kenneth Jackson of Maryville, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Willie Bayouth of Tulsa and Goldie Ford of Alma; six grandchildren, seven- great –grandchildren and nine great- great –grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Harris, Axel Jackson, Dalton Jackson, Randy McClendon, Nickolas Harris and Zeke Johnson.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Saturday, June 17, 2017 one hour prior to service.
