Mary Ellen Young, 79, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Alma First Baptist Church. She was born April 28, 1938 in Rudy, AR to the late Ed and Violet White. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Allen Young
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Alma First Baptist Church with interment in Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include her husband Ray Young of the home; one daughter, Reba Ann Pontbriand of Leeds, AL; one son, Kenneth Ray Young of Braselton, GA; one sister, Rose Marston of Rudy; two brothers, Eric White of New Braunfels, TX and James White of Alma, AR; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Young, Glen Pontbriand, Mark White, Charles DeShazo, Doyle Atwell and David Atwell.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
