Benny Alfred Barber, 59 of Barling passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a barge worker for the River Port in Van Buren. He was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Pentecostal Faith. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Fred and Orvie (Riley) Barber; and four grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren with cremation to follow under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

He is survived by one daughter, Meagan Fenstermacher of Fort Smith; two sons, Jasper Barber of Van Buren, Benjamin Barber of Witcherville; one sister, Joyce Primm of Barling; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
