Obituary for James Gilbert "Jim" Clark

James Gilbert "Jim"  Clark
James “Jim” Clark, 88 of Van Buren went to be with the Lord, Saturday April 29, 2017. He was born on April 10, 1929. Jim was a retired truck driver, he and his wife Lillie “Cotton” Clark, enjoyed their time spent together with their fur babies. Jim liked to build things and loved to go to flea markets and craft fairs look at the items and go home and try to build or make them. He loved his dog T, she was always his dog from the time she came to live with them. He loved the outdoors, walking at the park and just enjoying life at its fullest. His biggest passion was working in his shop on wood projects and collecting Danberry Mint cars. He had a love for the Lord and Southern Gospel music. Jim spent the biggest pkart of his life over the road driving for Time DC, he served in Army, having obtaining the rank of corporal. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother.

He is survived by his wife Lillie Clark of the home, one daughter Tammy Sullens and husband Tommy from Alabama, one son Michael Reeves and wife Marie of Van Buren, seven grandchildren Nichols, Kayla, Lacey, Mary, Tearanie, Kennan, and Dalton, two great grandchildren Mckenna and Adeline and longtime childhood friend Douglas Cox along with other family and friends.

Funeral services will be graveside with military honors 1PM, Thursday, May 4, 2017 a the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.


The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
