James F. Peters, Jr., 42 of Rudy passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He had a restless soul but held no grudges; he attended Van Buren High School; he was a past member of the Crawford County District One Rural Fire Department; he can now rest in the arms of his savior. He was a member of the Rudy Baptist Church.

Family held memorial service will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Rudy Baptist Church 224 East Bell Street in Rudy officiated by Pastor Grady Glass under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas and Zachary Peters both of Van Buren; his mother, Donna Venable and husband, Gary of Muldrow, Oklahoma; his father, James Peters, Sr. and wife, Anita of Rudy, Arkansas; one sister, Savanah Haunert of Muldrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Josh Haunert of Van Buren; two step sisters, Jennifer Gray or Roland, Oklahoma and Holly Weatherford of Rudy, Arkansas.

The family will visit family and friends Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
