Obituary for Alyce Ellis (Futrell)

Alyce F. Ellis, 86, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Butterfield Place with family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1929 in Fulton, Arkansas to Alfred and Leota (Stuart) Futrell. She was a retired LPN from the Orthopedic Department at Holt Krock Clinic. Alyce was a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church, in the Aldersgate Sunday School Class and served in the Woman’s Society and United Methodist Women. She was both a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Ellis.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel
With burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by a son, Mark Ellis and his wife Joyce of Rogers, AR; two daughters, Ann Ellis of Van Buren, AR and Kari Ellis of Van Buren, AR; five grandchildren, Mark and Brian, Joe, Shelby and Kendra and three great grandchildren, Christopher, David and Jordyne.
Pallbearers are Grandchildren and Ed and Ted Brewer and David Albertson.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
